Feedback of the 43rd War

1a. In what absolute location do you think The 43rd War takes place?

I think that this book takes place in El Salvador because the volcano Atlacatl is located in El Salvador. (Atlacatl Battalion). I also think it takes place in El Salvador because Uno is Christian and Lolo has a cross around his neck. The percent of Christians in El Salvador is 83 %. (El Salvador). And lastly, I think it takes place in El Salvador also has many jungles and in the book, the author always used the jungle when they were in their drills. (Central America Travel).

2. I think the author was vague about the location because it keeps you thinking about the book. She did this by giving clues as to where it was and the location of some certain places. But, I don’t think that she had a real reason for doing things. Sometimes the best books are done by accident.

I agree with you that it takes palace in El Salvador. Since we kind of helped each other out a bit, our answers are a bit similar in the first part.
Good reason why the author didn’t mention where it is located. It does make you wonder while reading the book where it takes place. And it was smart of her to leave clues, for the people who really do want to know.

I agree with the place that you think this book took place in, El Salvador. The volcano Atlacatl is mentioned in the book and when i looked it up on the internet, it said that it was istuated in El Salvador. I also agree with you other evidence. The religion of Uno and Lolo and the many jungles. I think another reason that maybe the author didn't give the specific setting of the book was because she did not want any conflict to happen again in El Salvador. Maybe there were people who she didn't want to anger by saying directly that the book was set in El Salvodor. =]

I agree with you when you said that the book took place in El Salvador. Atlacatl was in El Salvador, and also, Uno was christian, which is the most practiced religion in El Salvador. I agree with the part she didn't mention where it took place, but also, I think because the conflict hould have went on in other countries too, so she didn't really want to pick on El Salvador. Good Job!:)
